edayathu.com is the private, non-commercial website of the Edayathu family of Kurianad, Kerala. It helps our family preserve its history, remember important dates, and stay connected. We do not sell personal information, show advertisements, or use advertising analytics.

What information we keep

Who can see it

The public homepage shows family background information, selected public background photographs, and aggregate celebration counts. Approved family accounts can access the family tree, directory information — including saved dates, cities, email addresses, and WhatsApp numbers — the calendar, gallery, news, stories, memories, and community discussions. Members can see their own pending community contributions. Administrative tools, other members' pending contributions, account approvals, directory editing, and the WhatsApp inbox are limited to the family administrator.

How we use it

Information is used to review access requests, maintain the private family directory and tree, display family occasions, deliver enabled email or WhatsApp greetings, send family messages, operate the gallery, stories, weekly conversations, reactions, and reviewed photograph context; track the status of contributions; protect the site; and respond to support or deletion requests. Automated greetings remain off until the administrator enables them.

Services that process information

WhatsApp and email choices

Please provide an email address or WhatsApp number only for yourself or with the living person's permission. Saved contact details may be used for automatic family greetings and administrator messages when those functions are enabled. The monthly digest is sent only to directory entries marked to receive it. To pause WhatsApp messages, reply STOP to the family number; reply START to resume. To stop or change use of a saved email address, or for help with a WhatsApp preference, write to info@edayathu.com.

Children and family media

Only share a child's information, photograph, or recording when a parent or guardian has agreed. Please upload only material you are entitled to share with approved family members.

Retention and security

Family records and approved contributions remain available until the family administrator removes them. Pending community contributions and photograph suggestions remain available while they are reviewed or until the contributor or administrator removes them. Reactions remain until the member removes the reaction or the related community item is removed. The WhatsApp inbox keeps up to 500 recent messages. Bot conversation memory is limited to the latest six exchanges for up to 80 senders. Service providers may keep operational logs under their own retention policies. Access controls, encrypted connections, restricted administration, and signed provider requests are used to reduce risk, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices & data deletion

Any family member may ask, at any time, to see the information held about them, to correct it, or to have it removed entirely — including directory entries, tree entries, photographs, and account details. Write to info@edayathu.com and the family administrator will action it promptly.
